"Neowise" emerged during a time of deep introspection—when isolation became a mirror, and silence became the voice of truth. Painted in early 2020, this piece holds the essence of transformation through emotional honesty and spiritual awakening.

At the time, I felt as if I had drifted onto an island of my own making. Alone with my thoughts, I was called to examine the shadows of fear, the weight of the past, and the stories I had outgrown. What resulted was not despair, but clarity—a renewed inner landscape, filled with the quiet realization that everything changes when we choose to truly feel.

This painting embodies the wisdom of our ancestors, the guidance of our higher selves, and the often-overlooked skill of sitting with our emotions without judgment. Every emotion—anger, sadness, loneliness, joy—is a messenger. When we allow ourselves to feel fully, without resistance, we begin to heal. This act of acknowledgment is radical. It is how we come back into alignment, into self-love, and into the heart of what it means to be truly human.

The lion energy within this painting symbolizes courage—not the kind that fights, but the kind that feels. The ability to be vulnerable, to let go of outdated beliefs, and to trust in a greater unfolding. As we embrace our feelings, even the ones long buried, we free ourselves from the false identities we've clung to out of fear. This is how we reconnect to Source and step into wholeness.

Without knowing it at the time, I completed this painting just before the comet NEOWISE appeared in our skies. When I later learned of its arrival, I felt the divine synchronicity in full force. The energy of the comet brought with it a frequency of renewed hope, love, and remembrance. How fitting that NASA named it “Neowise”—a symbol of New Wisdom, just as this painting was created to represent.

We are being supported—by spirit, by nature, by our own intuitive knowing. We are not alone in this great shift. The signs are all around us, encouraging us to evolve, to awaken, to love ourselves more deeply.

Let “Neowise” be a reminder that even in stillness, great movement is happening. Even in darkness, a comet blazes across the sky with messages of light.
